Davinia Smith joins Brookstreet to spearhead Risk Management as Principal. Davinia will be responsible for Brookstreeet’s and portfolio companies’ corporate governance, risk management and compliance. Davinia has over 20 years of experience in the global Alternative Funds and Corporate Trust industries with particular experience in Real Estate (RE) and Private Equity (PE). Davinia has held regulated positions in the UK, Jersey, Guernsey, Gibraltar, and the BVI, for large established funds and administrators. She was most recently a Strategic Relationship Director and Head of Cayman Islands at Alter Domus. Prior she held roles with Lloyds Bank and Computershare. She has extensive experience on PE and M&A including Palamon's acquisitions (e.g. The Rug Company, Happy Socks, Il Bisonte) and Macquarie's acquisition of Green Investment Bank and the Nat Grid gas lines. Davinia has also sat on a number of RE Boards including regulated Jersey Funds, the GP of 22 Bishopsgate the tallest tower in the City of London, and the Acquisition Board of Pinewood Studios.

Konstantinos Macheras joins Brookstreet

Konstantinos Macheras, former CEO of AB Vassilopoulos joins Brookstreet Equity Partners LLP as CEO-in-Residence Advisor. Mr Macheras took AB Vassilopoulos from 15 stores and a turnover of $117m to 330 stores and a turnover of $2billion.

Konstantinos Macheras is the President of the Institute of Retail Consumer Goods and Former EVP of Delhaize Group & CEO of Southeastern Europe and Asia. Previously he served for 14 years at Mars Inc. in Holland, Greece and Italy. He holds a BSc from Piraeus and an MBA from Roosevelt University of Chicago.

Mr Macheras was named Officer in the order of King Leopold II by the King of Belgium Albert II.

Nicholas G. Karambelas is a founding partner of Sfikas & Karambelas, LLP and practices in United States with correspondent offices in Greece and Cyprus. He practices in the areas of business organization, law of investments, international trade and e-commerce. He has written numerous articles on commerce and Hellenic investments including the Comparative Guide to Business Entities in Greece for USA investors and the Guide to Legal Aspects in United States for Foreign Investors. He has also authored a three-volume treatise entitled “Limited Liability Companies: Law, Practice and Forms”. Mr. Karambelas holds a Juris Doctor from Fordham University Law School and a Masters from Columbia University. He Chairs the American Hellenic Lawyers’ Society of Greater Washington, D.C. and is a Board Member of the American Hellenic Institute and the American Hellenic Institute Foundation. In 2015 Mr. Karambelas was honoured by the Hellenic Lawyers Association of New York as its "Attorney of the Year”. 



Philip started his career as an investment advisor and restructuring consultant with experience in Europe and the former Soviet Union since 1992. As a Consultant at Kienbaum Development Services (KDS), the non-EU branch of Kienbaum und Partner he was based in Dusseldorf, Germany and worked on projects in Cyprus, Czech Republic and Zambia. In 1995, he co-founded Navigator Consulting Group, specialising in business restructuring and corporate growth. In 2010, co-founded Navigator's business incubator, and actively working as a business angel and accelerator for tech sector entrepreneurs both within Navigator as well as external partners. Currently a Managing Director of the European Consulting Network, a Managing Partner of Navigator Consulting Group and Numenor Capital Partners in Cyprus as well as the new (2018 March) Team Coordinator for Greece at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). He holds a Bachelor's at Princeton (A.B.), and read HRM management at Cornell and Fintech at Oxford. 


Middle East

Marianna has 25 years of professional experience, ten of which have been within Global Banking Custodians and Financial Service providers in Europe. Born in Greece, she read Accounting & Finance at the American College of Greece and started her career at SPIE BATIGNOLLES, a member of the JV project for the Olympic Metro and then moved to BNP Paribas Securities Services and worked in Greece, France and Belgium. In 2005 she moved to the UK and successfully completed executive roles within Morgan Stanley, as Manager of Client Service Corporate Actions Division, in Risk Metrics International Proxy Voting Services, as Executive Relationship Manager and finally in JP Morgan Chase, as Head of the Client Relationship Team, EMEA Region, Worldwide Securities Services. Following her family move to Doha in 2009, she has since advised Qatar Government and Private Institutions in organisational and growth projects. As a Managing Consultant of Black Leaf Qatar, a niche consultancy and advisory firm based in Doha, she is responsible for Strategic Business Development, Project Assurance and Stakeholder Management.

Marios Shacolas joins Brookstreet Advisory Council


Mr. Marios N. Shacolas has been the Chief Executive Officer of Cyprus Trading Corporation Plc since September 11, 2015. Mr. Shacolas serves as an Executive Vice President of N.K. Shacolas (Holdings) Limited. He has been an Executive Chairman of Cyprus Trading Corporation Plc since April 28, 2015 and served as its Chairman since June 2014. He serves as an Executive Non-Independent Director of Woolworth (Cyprus) Properties Public Ltd. He serves as a Director of MTN and other companies. He serves as Executive Director of Ermes Department Stores Plc. He served as Non Executive Director of ITTL Trade Tourist and Leisure Park Plc until July 23, 2015. Mr. Shacolas studied Business Administration in the USA, where he also obtained a post-graduate degree.

Mahmoud El Sakka Joins Brookstreet

Mahmoud is General Manager and Head of the Investment Banking & Corporate Finance Division at Arab African International Bank (AAIB). He has 30 years experience in investment banking and corporate finance.

Mahmoud is a board member of the Egyptian Credit and Risk Association (ECRA) and the former Chairman. He is also a Member of The American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and the former Chairman of The Egyptian Match Co. During the last thirty years, he gained a wide span of experience in financing activities including but not limited to syndicated loans, project finance and structured finance as well as investment banking and corporate finance activities such as mergers & acquisitions, valuations, bond issuance, securitization, long-term equity portfolio management and advisory services. Moreover, Mahmoud has been honoured by the British Council to be on the judgment panel for its Alumni Award Program. Under his leadership, AAIB has won the best investment bank in Egypt by Global Finance Magazine for three times in a row.

Mahmoud holds a BA in Business from Cairo University, an MA in Banking and Finance from the University of Wales, and an MPA from the American University of Cairo and trained at Harvard.

Panos Papazoglou Joins Brookstreet Advisory Council

Brookstreet is delighted to welcome the Head of EY Greece, Mr Panos Papazoglou to its council.  Having joined Ernst & Young in 1988, Mr. Panos Papazoglou is the Country's Managing Partner since July 2010. He also holds the role of the CSE South Cluster Leader (since January 2011) and the role of CSE Markets Leader (since January 2015). Mr Papazoglou has served as EY Head of Assurance in Romania for two years, focusing  on energy and technology, and as CMP and Head of Assurance in Bulgaria for three years.

Mr Papazoglou has sound management experience and extensive exposure to the international business environment and the Hellenic ecosystem. During his tenure, he managed cross-cultural teams, in numerous sizeable assurance and advisory projects, gaining solid supervisory skills over 29 years of serving the accounting and audit profession. His technical experience spans a wide range of services, including financial audits, privatisations, initial public offerings, placements, and European Commission funded projects.

Mr. Papazoglou is a member of the BoD at the American Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and the Institute of Economic and Industrial Research and Member of the Greek CEO Club and Endeavor Greece.  Panos holds a Bachelors and Masters from the Athens University of Economics and Business and an MBA from Aston. He is a Qualified Accountant in Greece and Romania.

Yiorgos Mylonadis, Joins Brookstreet Council

Brookstreet is delighted to welcome Yiorgos Mylonadis, Professor at London Business School, to its advisory council.  Yiorgos is an Adjunct Professor of Strategy & Entrepreneurship at London Business School where he lectures senior executives and MBA students. He specialises on business ecosystems, entrepreneurial communities, social enterprises, and methodologies for strategic thinking. A native of Greece and the United Kingdom, he has held appointments on the faculties of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Athens Laboratory of Business Administration (ALBA) before joining London Business School in 2000 where he created Developing Strategy for Value Creation - the School’s first Executive Education Strategy Programme. He has led large, multi-year advisory and teaching programmes for many firms including Nestle, IBM, Emirates, Oracle, GEA, Xstrata, Nokia, and Mars. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Reload Greece Foundation.

Christos Megalou Joins Brookstreet Council

Christos Megalou is a senior international banker who has worked with Barclays in Athens and London, Credit Suisse in London and has managed Eurobank Ergasias SA one of the four systemic banks in Greece.

Christos was Chief Executive Officer of Eurobank Ergasias SA, Chairman of the Executive Board of Eurobank Ergasias SA and Vice Chairman of Board of Eurolife the Insurance arm of Eurobank Ergasias SA (June 2013 to January 2015).

Prior to Eurobank he was Vice-Chairman of Southern Europe, Co-head of Investment Banking for Southern Europe, Managing Director of Credit Suisse in London having been with Credit Suisse in London for 17 years, (1996 to 2013).

He was a Director at BZW (Barclays de Zoete Wedd), prior to joining Credit Suisse in London, having joined Barclays Bank in Athens in 1989. He started his banking career in Agricultural Bank of Greece in 1986.

Christos was Deputy Chairman of the Hellenic Bank Association in Greece (2013-2015), Chairman of the Hellenic Bankers Association in the UK for two consecutive terms (2010 to 2013), Deputy Chairman of the British Hellenic Chamber of Commerce in Greece (1995- 1996).

He is associated with the parents leadership council of Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts (since 2014).

He is currently serving as a Distinguished Fellow at the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils (GFCC).

He has extensive experience in Management, Banking and Finance , Investment Banking , Mergers and Acquisitions and Capital Markets.

Christos was senior advisor to Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited, Toronto Canada and is currently advising a number of international financial institutions and private equity firms.

Christos graduated with a BSc of Economics from the University of Athens in 1981 and holds an MBA in Finance from Aston University in Birmingham United Kingdom (1982).

Stephen Clark Joins Brookstreet Council

Stephen has over 40 years’ experience in Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Stockbroking and Fund Management. He has been the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gerrard Investment Management, Oppenheimer International and Narodny Bank/VTB Capital, where he became Chairman. He spent 27 years at NWB Group holding senior executive positions. He is a Non Executive Director of Nutmeg, Access Bank UK and a NHS Trust.

His activities include: Pro Chancellor Canterbury Christ Church University, Vice Chairman, Marshalls Charity (Church of England), Chairman at the 3H Fund, and Senior Adviser and Chairman of the Disciplinary Panel, Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). He holds the Freedom of the City, is a Liveryman at Bankers and served as Master at Worshipful Company of Wheelwrights. He is an Honours Graduate in Financial Services from UMIST and is a former Visiting Fellow at Manchester Business School. A qualified banker and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, he is also a member of Henley Business School Strategy Board and acts as a business mentor under the London First Leadership Exchange scheme.

Brookstreet Managing Partner, Omiros Sarikas, welcomes Konstantinos Maramenos. Konstantinos worked at Kantor, the leading advisory (formerly Booz & Co. affiliate), where he focused on corporates and privatizations for HRADF/TAIPED. Kostas specializes in strategic origination, business analysis, modelling and valuations. He collaborated on Sell/Buy-side engagements with Deloitte and IBG. Prior to that, he was at Nestle as a Financial Analyst. He is an alumnus of the University of Piraeus and London Business School.
