Bioprofile

Pierre F. Suhrcke is an experienced non-executive director, senior advisor and venture-capital investor specialising in FinTech, InsurTech, RegTech, Capital Markets AI, data analytics and risk management. He was formerly global co-Head at Deutsche Bank Ventures and held senior management positions at Deutsche Bank, including Managing Director of the venture business and senior risk-management leadership roles.

Pierre spent 17 years at Deutsche Bank in London and Frankfurt, including roles as Global Head of Risk Management and Managing Director of the venture business. He subsequently became European General Partner of ABS Ventures, the secondary buy-out of Deutsche Bank’s venture portfolio of approximately 80 companies, where he managed multiple vintages through successful exits.

Pierre has served on the boards of more than 20 successful technology companies across the US and Europe, including RiskMetrics, Trema and Adeptra. His investment and board experience spans financial risk analytics, treasury management, credit-card fraud, capital markets technology, fintech, insurtech, data analytics and AI.

He is Managing Partner of Acorus Capital, an active member of the European venture-capital and start-up ecosystem, and a professor for venture capital at Kozminski University in Warsaw. At Brookstreet, Pierre supports the Board with venture-capital judgment, fintech expertise, risk discipline, AI-market insight and scale-up governance.
